Privacy policy
Your choices stay yours.
This notice explains what TableChoice collects, why it is needed and the controls available to organisers and guests. It was last updated 14 September 2026.
Information TableChoice collects
Organiser accounts contain a name, email address, protected password proof and essential sign-in session. Events contain restaurant and booking details, invited guest names and uploaded or linked menus. Guest responses contain a name, optional email address, meal choices and any dietary or allergy notes they choose to provide.
Basic technical logs may record request times, errors, browser information and an abbreviated network address for security, abuse prevention and reliability.
How the information is used
TableChoice uses this information only to operate the event, show the correct menus, collect choices, protect accounts, diagnose faults and allow the organiser to prepare a venue-ready order. TableChoice does not sell personal information or use guest information for advertising.
Who can see it
The event organiser can see the guest name, optional email, meal choices and dietary notes. Guests do not receive the invited-guest list, restaurant contact email or other guests’ responses. A restaurant sees the information only when the organiser chooses to email, print or export it.
TableChoice is hosted by Cloudflare and uses Google Places, with OpenStreetMap fallback, for restaurant search. Those providers process the limited technical information required to supply their services.
Microphone and read-aloud features
TableChoice does not record or store microphone audio. Voice recognition and read-aloud are provided by the visitor’s browser or device and may be processed by its speech service under that provider’s own terms. Voice controls are optional and manual typing remains available.
Retention and deletion
Events, guest responses and associated dietary notes are automatically deleted 60 days after the meal date. Organisers can permanently delete an event and all its responses sooner from their organiser dashboard. Saved guest-event shortcuts are stored in that guest’s browser and can be removed from the guest home screen.
Security records and expired sessions are kept only as long as needed to protect the service. Uploaded menu files are removed when they are no longer attached to a retained event.
Cookies
TableChoice uses one essential, secure session cookie to keep organisers signed in. It does not use advertising cookies.
Your choices and requests
Providing a guest email address is optional. A guest can resubmit to replace their response before the deadline or ask the organiser to delete the event. For a privacy, access, correction or deletion request, email support@tablechoice.app.
